Value Proposition + Fundraising Platform
“We are a complex organisation which is new to fundraising and, thanks to Laura’s knowledge and expertise, she was quickly able to decipher our institutional needs and help us make real progress in a short space of time. Laura helped us to shape and prioritise our asks, highlighting the type of stories and insights which would most appeal to donors. She also helped to hone our internal processes around partnership management, due diligence and reporting.”
Jess Goulson, Commercial and Business Partnerships Lead, Camden Council
Supporting the innovation team within Camden Council’s public health division to prepare to fundraise, focusing on Foundation and Corporate prospects.
Across 40 hours, I provided feedback on the initiatives value proposition, presentation of that proposition, and developed a workshop to help prioritize partnership opportunities. I provided recommendations on the Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), created fundraising tools, including a pipeline dashboard to help track progress.
Impact: Assets road-tested in Summer 2026. Updates to follow.

Product-based Fundraising + Influencer Marketing
Progressive management of the Garnier-UNICEF partnership in the US market to help re-position the Whole Blends haircare brand among a caring community of women and families.
I provided UNICEF messaging, briefed spokespeople, ensured compliance with United States cause marketing regulations. I also liaised with L’Oréal’s agency on an influencer marketing strategy, contributing to the production of an Instagram live, and an in-person Influencer event with brand ambassador at the time, Mandy Moore (pictured).
Impact: 5,600 educational and play-based activity kits, reaching up to 300,000 children, $3.9m
Partner: Whole Blends, Garnier, L’Oréal

Customer Fundraising + Stakeholder Engagement
Since 1995, UNICEF’s Check Out for Children program with the Travel & Leisure industry has impacted millions of children through the voluntary actions of hotel guests who have donated $1 per night stayed, and the reception teams who champion the program.
Following Marriott’s acquisition of Starwood Hotels in 2016, the program was in jeopardy of being lost in the merger.
I was able to re-introduce the program to Marriott’s Social Impact team, demonstrating the fit with its Serve 360 CSR strategy and how the program drives a sense of community among employees under the new family of Marriott brands. Together, we were able to engage senior executives, property managers, including franchisees, and re-establish the program.
This provided the foundation for the partnership to develop over the past decade: New communications, engagement and fundraising opportunities have been developed including activating Bonvoy™ loyalty members on GivingTuesday™ and collaborating on the LoveTravels campaign in 2023.
Impact: $500k/year and growing. 4.5 million children impacted.

Technical + In-Kind Support
Global water technology company Xylem and its corporate social responsibility program Xylem Watermark aim to provide equitable access to safe water and sanitation (WASH) to support healthy lives and help build resilient communities.
Xylem’s partnership with UNICEF has flourished since its donation of $1 million to support UNICEF’s COVID-19 emergency response in 2020.
Through trust-building tactics and refining shared goals and understandings I was able to work with my counterpart to establish the terms for a five-year collaboration agreement. This MoU outlined the financial, technical, advocacy and In-kind support required to track towards shared goals.
Xylem is now providing technical expertise to UNICEF's WASH specialists, helping to identify climate-resilient approaches and technologies in areas such as borehole pumping and aquifer management, and in turn gaining insights into new markets and B2B customer segments.
Impact:: $1m+/ year. 6.6million people reached
